PRIVATE SESSIONS AND SPECIAL SERVICES

 

1:1 Yoga Sessions

The study of yoga originated as a dialogue between the guru and the disciple. Here at Chinook Yoga we honor that tradition by offering 1-on-1 privates. The 1-on-1 session allows the student to explore specific areas of interest such as alignment in asanas, philosophy, chanting, etc.

Whether you are a beginner, or an advanced student, a 1-on-1 private session is right for you. In the guiding hands of one of our senior certified teachers, you can work toward overcoming any fears or blockages that may be holding you back.

The 1-on-1 session is tailored to fit the needs of each student, so beginners can work on the fundamentals and more experienced students can work on specific needs. A 1:1 Session can explore: the fundamentals of yoga, how to do a specific asana, improvement of practice, discussion of philosophy, etc.

A 1:1 is $75 per hour. A five session 1:1 pass is $325.

 

Private Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy empowers individuals to progress toward improved health and well-being through the application, the philosophy and practice of yoga. Yoga Therapy classes develop a program of using age old yoga techniques such as breath work and present moment awareness combined with body awareness exercises. A private session is suitable for people who have pain, injury or illness that is limiting the things they love to do; are open-minded and ready to embrace new ideas about how the body and mind interact; are dedicated and willing to invest in themselves; and, want to function better and find more balance in life. All yoga therapy work is done by Yoga Therapist and Registered Kineseologist Jaylene Paivarinta.

*Check with your extended health plan to see if it covers work with a Practicing Kinesiologist.

  • one-on-one sessions - $75 per hour or 3 sessions for $190 - includes a customized yoga therapy program
  • small group sessions (2-3 per class) $100 per hour - includes a customized yoga therapy program
  • teams or large groups - one yoga will create a customized session(s) for your team or large group
